‘If I were to say a sword, at least one sword in your belt,’ Paul begins, ‘is writing code or doing mathematics.’ Paul has been talking about technology a lot lately. He is convinced christians should be right at home doing mathematics or writing algorithms. ‘It is not about poetry, art,’ Paul interrupts, ‘it is about novelty of another sort.’ He thinks we ought to be more at home doing math than literature.
‘If you are confident in these two,’ Paul continues, ‘you will build character. Life will not run out on you.’
