War Words

‘It is a balance,’ Paul says, ‘you have to balance how much you write.’ Paul smiles. ‘The balance I have found is to write very short, sweet, compact.’ I am reminded of the discourses in Acts. Paul in Athens. He quotes a poet, or two, then done. ‘When working with people one learns writing has to change, as does one’s speech.’

‘The time one has to read, is the time I try to spend writing.’ Paul claps his hands. ‘The time, it goes about that fast.’

‘The amount of new information listeners can handle,’ Paul claps his hands, ‘about that much.’

‘Like Luther learned during the reformation,’ Paul winks (he loves it when he mentions Luther), ‘assert your thoughts.’

‘People go to war on sentences alone.’
